Well, That’s Fun -101: The Evolving Building Envelope Community and its Impact on All of Us
Program Description:
The Central Texas building envelope community has been through changes affecting every element of how Owners, A/Es, and Contractors approach and follow through with building envelope projects in the last handful of years. This program will concentrate on key factors being experienced by each facet of our community and discuss how to refocus and better approach expectations, design decisions, and the execution of our projects to successfully achieve everyone’s end goals.
Learning Objectives:
- Identify and discuss general industry observations that are affecting quality and effectiveness of the building envelope services from design through construction.
- Identify and discuss building envelope related items affecting Owners and those influencing their goals.
- Identify and discuss design and construction factors affecting general A/E designers and their choices.
- Identify and discuss design and construction factors effecting Contractors.
- Discuss how to identify and get ahead of negative project trends and encourage positive ones.
